DescriptionThe Wurundjeri People take their name from the Woiwurrung language word ‘wurun’ meaning the Manna Gum (Eucalyptus viminalis) which is common along ‘Birrarung’ (Yarra River), and ‘djeri‘, the grub which is found in or near the tree. Wurundjeri are the ‘Witchetty Grub People’ and our Ancestors have lived on this land for millennia. The Wurundjeri People are represented by the Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung Cultural Heritage Aboriginal Corporation.
DescriptionThe Bunurong Land Council Aboriginal Corporation are a Traditional Owner organisation that represent the Bunurong people of the South-Eastern Kulin Nation. They aim to preserve and protect the sacred lands and waterways of our ancestors, their places, traditional cultural practices, and stories.
